To be elegible to win the competition you had to submit a 15 second instagram video. Of the 240 entries mine was selected the overall winner and I took home A new Gopro Hero 4.
Shark Picture
In January 2015 the shark alarm rang at Merewether beach to warn beach goers that a large shark was in the area. Beaches were closed after lifeguards reported seeing a five-metre-long shark in the area. I grabbed my camera and raced to the end of my street to see what was going on. I took a few photos of one of the jetskis. It wasnt untill I was looking at my shots abit later that I realised there was a fin lurking behind the jetski. I was the first one to capture a picture of the shark and my photo went viral. It was published in the Newcastle Herald, Sydney Telegraph, ABC News website,The Daily Telegraph, The UK Daily News and featured on NBN Television
